Google

Man, Google is going to own the world soon. Not only can you effectively search the internet, but now they have a whole plethora of new features and services.

The first and formost would be gmail. Probably the most efficient e-mail client on the planet.

Even this blogger is owned by google! Now I can share my thoughts online with my legions of followers! Someday maybe I'll have an unholy army of google worshippers to conduct my bidding.

Moving along though, picture albums that syncrhonize with your photo viewer/editor (requiring a download of Picasa) and allow you to e-mail your albums to friends and family!

Calendars with the ability to display multiple overlapping calendars, and event reminders to help ensure you don't miss any commitments!

Online publishing of word documents and spreadsheets, and like a million more cool things!

Hello Google, here's the world for you!

So we decided to spruce up the ol '89 chevy caprice that my roomie 'owns'...
click here to see the picture gallery
It was quite the undertaking in retrospect. Who would have thought that spray painting flames up the side of a crap car would have taken so long?!
All in all though, it was quite fun! Monday night at 6 the process begain, washing the chev to remove the million pounds of dust and dirt from the surface. Then the waxing, apparently wax interacts with the paint, and removes a small layer... but the chev, I was sure that we were stipping it down to the metal! I've never blued my hands in under 30 seconds before.
Day 1 - The set up was simple... take a picture of the car... photoshop the flames on, project the picture of the car onto the car... tape, then spray. It took many takes to get just the right flame shape in the picture, but then we settled on a design that we both liked.
The projecting and taping went smoothly, we sealed off a small area of the car with garbage bags to protect the surface, but not enough it seemed, as the blast radius incurred severe collateral damage.
Day 2 - Marc came over to help - we began with burgers and beer, a good start on a nice day. The set up again went smoothly, and with 3 of us 'helping' the process seemed to fly by. There were many occurences for photos. The paint was then finished, the skull rims installed, then we went to work on the audio system!
1 1992 home theatre receiver/amp - held under the dash with bungee cord
1 75W power inverter - wired through firewall direct to battery
3 ft 12-gauge wire
1 300W concert speaker - fed under seat in the trunk
= awesome sound!
Thank god for fun roommates - Damn it feels good to be a gangstar!

Dr. Elrodesly's class

Getting home at 3:00am...
Waking up at 6:30am...
Listening to the most boring man in the world...
Having a computer to occupy my attention... priceless

But seriously, what the fuck is the purpose of us taking this class? No one who enrolls in a pilot program wants to design airplanes (or airports for that matter Thursday!) So why do we have to sit here for 3 hours every Tuesday!? Why the hell does our final assignment have so much weighted towards the prettiness of our drawings?!!? What is this shit, kindergarden!? That was 16 years ago!

oh well, I do lose myself sometime... now back to cyberspace ADD... MSN and Facebook

Facebook

Let's slow things down a little here and discuss something....

Facebook

you all know it... its that wonderful little website where everyone in the world gets connected and shares information about themselves.
This is a wonderful idea... I recently was befriended my someone I havent talked to in many many years! and that I would say is probably the coolest part of this. Will I actually talk to these people i have strayed apart from? Probably not.

Now the seedy underbelly that is facebook...
what is the difference between this site and say... Lavalife? profiles stating a persons realationship status and 'interests' - why not create a group 'fuck-buddies-R-us' and get it over with!?!

Sigh, sadly I signed up, and have since discovered that it is in fact pretty cool and easy to use. So I guess I would be hypocritical if I continued this rant... I just thought I would share that little tidbit

The first post... *drumroll*

So here I am, the proud new owner of a blog.
what the hell am I supposed to do with this?!

well, I guess I'll just let you into the wonderful-ness that is in my delicious head
